What sustainable contribution can we make to better understand and shape local, national and global development and transformation processes and thus solve spatial problems? With 11 professorships, the Institute of Geography Bayreuth is ideally equipped to provide innovative answers to these questions. It is characterised by a strong and broad range of theoretically based empirical research combined with problem-oriented teaching, which is also reflected in the numerous cooperations entered into by the members of the Institute of Geography.
